We believe in creating a welcoming space where everyone can encounter God.

Today kicked off our annual Fall Revival with Rev. Phil Privette and TPIM. The music was wonderful! It is always a blessing to see so many young people worshiping God and learning to move with the Holy Spirit, and the presence of God was worth whatever it took to get to church!
Pastor Phil began by speaking on the Holy Spirit, for we want to keep moving forward, higher, and closer until we step into the glory of God. What do we have without the work of the Holy Spirit? Without the Holy Ghost there is no victory, no power, no breakthrough! There is more to salvation than just making it to Heaven, but we can’t even identify what is going on without the Holy Ghost. When Jesus returned to the earth after His resurrection in His glorified body, there was no pain, no sorrow, and no obstacles. He was full of the Holy Ghost. Whatever Jesus needed, it was there, and Jesus became the prototype.
Do you ever feel spiritually dry? Does God seem distant at times? Does it feel like the fire has faded? Psalm 46:10 states, “Be still, and know that I am God!” Spending time with God, building a relationship with Him, sitting in silence and listening to his voice, waiting on the Lord, and surrender may be what is missing. Is our devotion distracted? Are we more focused on information instead of intimacy? John 5:39-40 says, “You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.” Of course, God’s Word is important, but without intimacy the scriptures are just ink on paper. Without surrender and obedience, there is no relationship. It is surrender that changes your life. (Psalm 62:1-2) It is not religion that changes you; it is relationship. (Matthew 15:8) Without relationship and surrender you are empty. It is not that God is far away; it is that we are not present. (James 1:8) God wants sons and daughters, not just students.
Pastor Phil went on to share 4 P’s of the Holy Spirit.
1. Promise
2. Performance.
3. Proof.
4. Power.
A promise can be defined as a legal document. Every word that Jesus spoke to us created a legal document signed in His own blood. It is a binding document that cannot be broken. It is then our part to expect it and claim it. For Jesus promised in John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” We are to believe it, expect it, and claim it and then we will see it. If you desire a closer relationship with God and want to learn more about surrender, I hope you will join us for the remainder of the revival meetings this week Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.
